Why we built QuickQuote AI

Alex Myazin · June 18, 2026 · 2 min read

When a foreman in Texas needs prices on "5/8 fire" and "two by fours" at 7 a.m., they do not open a procurement portal. They call three suppliers, leave two voicemails, and write the quotes on the back of a takeoff sheet.

That loop has not changed in twenty years. The catalog moved online; the conversation did not.

What we are building

QuickQuote AI is an agent that lives where contractors already are — phone, text, a tab on the truck laptop — and gets them prices fast. You type the way you talk on the job site:

need 40 sheets of rock and a bundle of yellawood

It resolves the slang, looks up live prices across the suppliers we have indexed, and gives back a quote you can drop into a takeoff. Voice in, voice out, no portal.

What is different

  • Slang first. Drywall is "rock," "gypboard," or "sheetrock." Pressure-treated is "PT," "ground contact," or "yellawood." The agent reads all of those and asks back in the same dialect.
  • One quote, multiple suppliers. You see prices side by side without making the calls.
  • No marketplace tax. We do not take a cut on the goods. The supplier price is the supplier price.

What is next

We are heads-down expanding the catalog and onboarding more suppliers. If you run a job site and want to see your daily call-around shrink to a one-minute chat, start a Pro trial. If you sell materials and want to be discoverable to every contractor who asks, list your prices.
